Day 11

It snowed starting last night and through early afternoon today. Jason and Jess had a great time throwing snowballs, sledding and making snow angels.

Day 10

No rest for a teacher! I took a class on penguins today to get some ELA PDP's for my recertification. The class was 5 hours but flew by. Here's a quilt we made after hearing "Tacky the Penguin" and "The Little Penguin".

Day 9

Dressy Bessie was my doll when I was little. It's wonderful to see her being loved and played with again. Jess loves to zipper Bessie's clothes but the buttons frustrate her.

Day 8

On the mornings Mike gets out of work, Jess comes to school with me and Mike picks her up there. Jess loves playing with the toys in my room and coloring. She looks like such a big girl here!

Day 7

Dinner at Long Horn Steakhouse. My mom, the kids and I had planned on eating at the Radisson but their dining room was closed so we drove up to Pembroke and ate at the Long Horn. Jess loved the cow on the wall but wanted to know why it didn't talk like the moose at Bugaboo. The walls had interesting weavings on them.

Day 6

Well, we didn't get it done before Christmas but no time is a bad time to make a gingerbread house. Jess loved spreading the frosting on the roof.

Day 5

Kids' tv shows promoting healthy eating? Jess loves to watch the Wonder Pets on Nickelodeon. Whenever the Wonder Pets save an animal, they celebrate by eating celery. Now it's one of Jess's favorite snacks, especially with peanut butter.

Day 4

My mom, Jess and I went to the Dunbar Tea Room in Sandwich, MA. We had a wonderful lunch.

Day 3

We had an entertainment center in our living room that was huge. We got it for free when our neighbors moved. It took up so much space that we decided we needed to break down and get something a little smaller. The tv stand doesn't photograph well but it looks nice in our living room and doesn't take up quite as much space.
